Who We Are

Retrofit Restoration is a woman-owned, weaving-forward furniture restoration shop serving Boston and Central Massachusetts. Owner Nora Whelan's lifelong passion for vintage design and construction led her into professional restoration in 2021. Following tenures at Minnesota institutions Ackerman's and Danish Teak Classics, Nora moved to Massachusetts in 2026, where she works to bring modern weaving and grain-enhancing finishes to the Metrowest area.
